Travel Tips From A Luxury Hotel Concierge
Fortunately, a lifetime in this historic metropolis has been equipped Hotel Brunelleschi chief concierge Sergio Iannotta with a wealth of knowledge about this Renaissance city. The Forbes travel guide sits with a local guide to get tips on what to do, see and feel in Florence right now.

If we had only one day to spend in Florence, what should we do?

Most people who come to Florence for the first time are attracted by the very high works here and the beautiful scenery of surrounding hills vin rich and olive groves.

Most of them spent their first day in Florence exploring and shopping, or visiting the Uffizi [Gallery], the Accademia and the [Piazza del] Duomo who "must see" [Attractions] in the city. In the case of nice weather, they can decide for excursion to Siena, San Gimignano and Chianti.

As much as returning, they enjoyed the privileged atmosphere of Florence just walking around or looking around, exploring the little streets with the medieval tower, the elegant Renaissance building with a large 500-year-old wooden door, with a view Wood, and at night, they can enjoy the view or the small church in the opera-film.

Which Museum should we visit?

The newly opened Museum in the city is a collection of Roberto Casamonti. This is a private collection now open to the public, located in one of the strangest buildings of the Renaissance: Palazzo Bartolini Salibeni was built [by] Baccio D'agnolo in the 16th century. Part of the collection now includes paintings of de Chirico, Picasso and Warhol.

Hopefully, soon we'll get a completely revamped Uffizi [editor's note: The famous museum is being renovated]. Meanwhile, it is possible to admire rooms recently performed to Botticelli, Raphael Da Vinci and Michelangelo.

I would also suggest visiting the Marino Marini Museum mainly to see a Renaissance artwork: a small copy of the Holy Sepulchre of Christ in Jerusalem was realized by Leon Batista Alberti in the 15th century which is a real example of passion and Dedication.

Where is the best place to grab a drink after a day of jumping museum entrance?

We often recommend the rooftop Bar Hotel or Classic Museum: During the day, Rivoire with a beautiful view over Palazzo Vecchio and in the evening, Paszkowski, which has music nightly.

What about dinner?

We are very fortunate to have at our chef's house Rocco de Santis. She delivers a satisfying experience in the intimate setting of our Santa Elisabetta restaurant.

At the Tourissty Signoria Square with the opening of Gucci Park, [Ristorante] Frescobaldi and Fédor Bistro, now we have a] high-level cooking corner.

Located in a medieval building hidden on a small street, I would like to suggest a local. Beautifully decorated, it has a lively bar and contemporary cuisine.
